Growing up in rural Nova Scotia, Erin lived a Naturopathic lifestyle long before she considered it as a career path. Thanks to parents and grandparents that took a natural approach to healthcare, Erin was introduced to cod liver oil, sauerkraut, and taking vitamins at an early age. As for fruit and veggies, Erin has always loved them but learned their value while completing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and a Master’s Degree in Science (Human Health and Nutrition) at the University of Guelph.
Her fundamental belief in treating the root cause of health concerns led Erin to the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, where she formally adopted a guiding principle as her own, taking a logical, natural and holistic approach to healthcare.
After completing her internship at the largest Naturopathic clinic in North America, Erin decided to return to her roots, seeing an opportunity to be closer to family while raising the bar for holistic healthcare in her home province. Erin’s goal is to help patients achieve optimal health while providing “aha” moments through mentorship and education. Nutrition is a major part of Erin’s treatment plans, both dietary as well as vitamins and supplements. She leans on herbal medicine, Chinese medicine and acupuncture, and has training in injection therapies to provide clients ample options in treatment.
Erin lives a healthy and balanced lifestyle, spending time in nature as an aspiring triathlete, running, biking and skiing. She also brings her love of health and food into the kitchen, where she loves to cook, almost always with a healthy twist.
Erin is thrilled to have partnered with Dr. D’Arcy Stonehouse, a former colleague-turned-friend, to create Brickyard Health.
